Senior Craft Circle in Mt Vernon

On August 2, another community building craft circle was held in Mt. Vernon. New Bridges supplied the food and craft supplies, this time also including (by request) crochet needles, and a couple of small donated, refurbished sewing machines. About a dozen senior women, almost all of whom were strangers to one another, attended. As before, the more skilled seniors helped teach the newbies crochet and knitting, and after a couple of hours of smiles and chatting, the foundations for new cross-cultural friendships were laid.
