By invitation from the African American Men of Westchester, the New Bridges coordinators and members of the New Bridges Youth Group enjoyed an inspiring luncheon, hearing the words of impressive young award winners, who have already been making positive change in our world!
On December 21 and 23, New Bridges Youth Group worked alongside youth from the Indian American Cultural Association of Westchester to sort and pack toys at the Yonkers warehouse of Toys For Tots. For a total of 67 person-hours, our youth volunteers worked to bring new toys to the children of Westchester!
On October 20, our youth group accompanied by Bernie Thombs of AAMW and Jeanhee Chung of OCA-WHV, enjoyed our first Diwali celebration in a Hindu temple.
