New Bridges Youth Group Toys for Tots/Shoebox Holiday Drive

UPDATE: We did it!

For a period of two weeks, the New Bridges Youth Group (NBCZ) and the partner organizations of New Bridges conducted a blitz collection, for the Urban League’s annual toy drive for low-income children being served by the Lois Bronz Center in Greenburgh.  With collection boxes at the India Center and Urban League of Westchester, as well as private collections, we were able to help the Urban League deliver three big boxes of toys to the Lois Bronz Center.

Thank you, New Bridges partners!  We hope that we can do an even more successful toy drive in 2025!

Sign up here to make a child happy this holiday season! Our teen group, NBCZ, is joining up with New Bridges member organization the Urban League to collect toys for low income kids in Westchester at the Lois Bronz Children’s Center. We will be collecting new, unwrapped gifts by December 10 and cash donations by December 13 (via the Urban League website, please put “New Bridges toy drive” in the notes when you donate). Our main collection boxes will be at:

• the Urban League at 61 Mitchell Pl, White Plains (open weekdays 9am-5pm)
• the lobby of the India Center of Westchester at 174 Brady Ave Hawthorne NY 10532.
• 505 Fifth St, Mamaroneck: in the  box outside or leave by the front door.
• collections at high schools in Obama High in Yonkers and Rye Country Day School (TBA).

The New Bridges youth group will sort and pack smaller gifts in shoeboxes, and deliver to the Lois Bronz Center. Some suggested gifts may include warm comfortable clothing, gift cards to White Plains/Greenburgh stores such as Target or local restaurants that kids love such as ice cream shops, sports equipment, art, crafts and gardening supplies, board games, books, game consoles, and fashion accessories.
